L.I.N.E Camp FEVER.

I've got a FEVER, and can't be stopped! Not the warm temp. within the body, but the CAMP FEVER! This post is specially dedicated to reminisce all the memories during the L.I.N.E CAMP. Open your eyes wide to read the emotions behind each activity/day. Enjoy :)
First Day, we were all dispersed into respective Kampungs under 3 major Towns for Sec students aft the Camp tees were distributed and welcomed warmly by JJ-ians :) I was in Kampung 8 with Fengxiang, Bryan, Xi Ran and Shaban from Swiss. A new perception for me, I will get to know this Swiss people more through the Camp, and yes I did. After joining with the rest of Kampung 9 members from other schs, we played some Ice-Breaker games. True enough the first few hours in that Kampung was rather boring and wasn't fun as expected. But all that reversed after cheers are taught one by one. With 10 Facils (Facilitators) attached to our Kampung, the atmosphere grew a lot amongst the Campers. I notied a Facil who resembled someone so familiar from Kampung 9 and I shall not say the name. Gahh, why am i always remembered of his facial features wherever i go. Back to topic, we had much Kampung and Town Bonding time together :) Oh yeah, my Town name is Gardenopolis (Gaga!) :D Then there was this Mass Dance activity lol haha. Hmm new experience for me, but I don't wish to type it down here, height disparity -,- Yeahh, though am not a good dancer, but I managed to keep up with the steps and beats haha! *.* After that was the workshop regarding on how what is Good Leadership like, both in theory and practical. Though we were rather worn out after the dance to sit still and listen the the workshop and undeniably, some of us dozed off (hehe) , the points taught are very relevant. Hopefully those who went frm Swiss can apply the values taught back in sch :) Good and nutritious food was served too, from Breakfast till Supper. Bathing time as expected, rushing but fun at the same too :D
Day Two was expected to be a more packed and fun. And true it was! :D Let me just highlight some points of the day otherwise you'll see this post very wordy (though it is still going to be). Amazing Race held outside JJ Campus was the first activity of the day after Breakfast :) The main objective of this was to inculcate National Values within us :) Though we didn't clear all the stations, but we had fun and bonded a lot among the Campers :) Heh I also discovered many Indo there, (Jesslyn and Agnes were among them:) ) Also, we went to all the 4 different major planning groups who have been playing their major roles behind the scenes throughout the camp. (Secretary, Logistics, Games and SCDC) Then we also had abt 1h or so to build our own infrastructure representing our Kampung, and we did on the Leaning Tower of Pisa :) only 30mins to do that, and WE DID complete it!:D The highlight of the day was obviously Line Night! Though I heard that it was fun frm those who have went last yr, I didn't believe till I experience the fun myself! Firstly we danced the 2 dances taught on Day 1. Changed partner halfway the dance, so coincident haha! ;) Then the most high part of it was when we all squeezed together and sing, dance, shout, scream, jump side by side with all the Campers and Facils. Jasper Facil was nxt to me and Cuiting too, and Jasper apologised for the height disparity (lol this is the reverse of the logic in Day1! :p ) I was really high to the max :D After that we bathed, and managed to get a proper bath compared to Day1 haha :) Continued by Supper while gazing at the stars in the Open Field. Sounds romantic doesnt it? It was indeed, esp when Amirah Facil sang Titanic song :) Undeniably a great day with many memories attached, good night sleep :)
Day Three was .... even more memorable. Didn't expect myself to cry so much like a kiddo, nah worse than a kiddo, more than a water fountain flowing down. We were tasked to clean the Toilet, but lucky enough all the toilets were arldy cleaned, I guess the Cleaners did that. So lucky for all of us assigned to clean the toilets :P We played broken telephone again instead :) After some games(incld. Cling) and Cheering sessions again, we were told to proceed to a classroom. Here starts the moment of reminiscence jingled in my mind. During this Emo Web activity, we had to say any emotions in our hearts, be it a thank you or an apology, or even a confession if any, to a specific or for a group of people. I thanked both Amirahs Facils for holding the hoses while the other girls were bathing on Day2, they enthusiastically helped us while cheering :) The atmosphere wasnt tight till Xi Ran frankly spoke how she felt about the Camp initially. I didnt expect her to say such a thing, neither did I expect the Scholars to feel that way...Now I understand how it feels. And because I understood it, I cried as soon as she did, cos' it reminded me of the time when I was first a foreigner in Sg too.. :) After that, instead of having sad moments during the Emo Web, we took many pictures instead and laughed wholeheartedly cos of Gim(Korean) Facil, this very happy-go-lucky guy who kept on criticising on Fengxiang's IPhone :) Proceed to the Hall wasn't any better. Not good as in, I knew we will cry more.. Before more of the Kiss The Rain song was played repeatedly, Fengxiang could still faked his tears with my waterbottle -,- Then the climax came when Yiruma Songs(Kiss the rain & River flowing in you) were played, accompanying Mr Sufian's talking to recall back our memories throughout the camp and especially to appreciate things around us, inclding our parents. The moment he talked about that, my tears flowed non-stoply, I don't know why so sudden too.. Till the Facils around me surrounded me and touched my shoulders while I looked down and kept on crying. Worse come to worse when we were asked to write on a postcard of Appreciation for our Parents..Cuiting and I went to the back of the hall, and we both cried even more. Got to blame her cos she made my cry more when my packet of tissue was all used up -,- , lucky they gave us Towels, which I used to wipe tears instead haha! When I was writing my feelings down on the postcard, both my nose and eyes droll even more, esp when the Xinjiang scholars were right behind me and crying out loud too. I can understand how they feel so well when they are distanced from their parents, that feel. They told us to hand in the postcard if we want it to be sent via post, but I thought they only provide such service locally, so I kept it instead. And yeah, I've went to Sg Post to send it just now :)
All in all, I want to thank the new friends who've made this Camp and Kampung so fun! Muizu too, for being a good buddy :) Let's keep in contact for as long as we can and remember the memories craved forever :) For the best Facils ever. Darren, Ricia, Joel, Zhengguang, Hui Si, Amira, Amirah, Juwika, Stephanie and Gim. Thank you guys for making this Camp so fun and wonderful! Darren, for being meticulous, making sure all turns out well as planned. Ricia, recover fast from your nerve injury, hope you can recover fast and run back on the track again, eat your medicine regularly too :) Joel, you have an interesting hobby of liking Birds, you are a knowledgeable Facil. Zhengguang, thought your facial feature is a norm, haha but your hyperness is funny, resembling the monkey like how you demonstrated. Hui Si, I'll remember you for accompanying me to the toilet on the vry first day, and telling me some background info abt JJ. Both Amirahs, thanks for being such enthu Facils, with all the jokes and laughter you guys created :) Juwika, you are a caring Facil, and thank you for the tissue you gave me during the Amazing Race, appreciate it lots :) Stephanie, you are cute, esp when you do the 123 and 456 Cheer! Last but not least, Gim, thanks for being so Korean-ish throughout your cheers and act coolness haha! I love your Korean accent, it suits you to be the perpetual Joker! Good luck all Facils in your JJ life, to overcome the challenges and may you all be part of the Council :)
I've learn a lot through this camp. Again, thanks guys for the leadership and personal experiences I've gotten throughout the camp :) Even the Fever was brought upon when we Swiss was in the Bus heading to sch, and in the sch itself. Pictures shall be uploaded soon :)
