Octavilia.
That explains why she is an October 9 baby. Lia for short. Limegreen never fails to make her day brighter, as bright as classic colours do. Choirs have painted her life more vibrantly. Not a person based on the first impression haha! Nothing much. She's just another secondary school kid. Facebook. Enjoy your stay here :)

Wind Beneath My Wings.

Supposed to be doing my Individual work for Shanghai Twinning Programme, but I think what is bugging me for days that always distract me from what I'm supposed to be doing is actually... for not blogging yet ever since I touched down from Shanghai. So hopefully, after this post, I can really concentrate on getting work done :) Have been talking of what to post actually, as in for the Shanghai trip and Choir Camp. But I guess I'm not going to bore you with the daily details that happened then. I'll just type what I remember most from the Trip and also Choir Camp. These were the awesome time I had in my sec3 year. Thankful for that.

Shanghai Twinning Programme. 11 days a visit to a foreign country... well and my first time to China as well. Before the trip itself, I was still feeling "okay loh" kind of thing.. not really feeling anything unusual or spectacular about going Shanghai. Slept overnight in the Airport and chatted with Fengxiang's sister who is in England, we skyped. Reached Shanghai and took Maglev train. We went to our separate sch and I went to No.1 High Sch. 15 of us went there, and there were some people in the group whom I'd hoped to know more after the trip. I'm proud to say, I did! :)
So for the next 6days, we went for Immersion and had the Buddy day. Lessons were all in Chinese and I admitted that I slept for some of the lessons. Couldn't help it figuring out what the teachers were saying, when I had some communication error with my buddy myself... But with the help of dictionary and people around me, I overcame the fear of speaking in Chinese. Tell you what, I bargained in Chinese @ Cheng Huang Miao. Quite proud of that :P

I'll remember my buddy, Shen Yi Wei for life. Though he is a very shy guy, but I can tell you how much I'm so proud of him. Dont even know why buddy is a guy, when my girl friends got girl buddies. That's not a problem tho. Altho his English isn't so fluent either, I can tell you he's a brilliant guy and superb in Maths! Never sleep in class and is a gentleman :) Too bad that I can't really communicate with him, but thru the Buddy's day, I've known him much better! Went shopping and then to his house during Buddy's day. His grandfather cooked and...scrumptious meal!

Visits around Shanghai and Suzhou were unforgettable too. Shanghai is just another awesome city. But safety can be improved, and disparity between rich and poor too. Went to several places like the Urban City Planning, Museum, Science center, Acrobatic show, Silk Factory, some beautiful gardens and some other places I dont remember the Chi name...

Thru this trip, many new friends were made. For life, I'll remember the moments spent lying down in the middle of the soccer field gazing at the stars and made promises to myself. Telling stories and letting everything out of your chest while the cold wind blew was just the best thing ever in No.1 High Sch happening! Thank you T.T Gang for the enlightened nights and advices shared. Thank you Monkey for a lot of things (shan't spell it out here). Monkey, I just feel you are like an older brother to me although by years, that shouldn't be the case. But who cares, you resemble my first brother too much, can't help it :P I'm sure you'll have a good future ahead too Monkey. I've forgotten what I told you because all were left behind in that particular synthetic soccer field :) and... I'm determined! :)

Choir Camp.
It was mostly a bonding session for everyone. POP was a blast, didn't expect myself to learn the steps for Walking on Sunshine within short hours! And now, I'm kind of addicted to GLEE. Don't worry, I do sensor the ** parts even tho I'm watching it at home...(Choir girls...beware!)
Altho it was kind of a short time for me and I didn't have much chance to interact with many people, I think the objectives of the Camp were met. Thank you so much Evonne and Bernadette W who took charge of it when I was away.

Today heart to heart talk with Choir was another eye-opening moment for me. Thank you guys for sharing and just so you know.... it takes some time for me to realise how much I have fallen in love with Choir. Most of the love goes to the people. You girls always enlighten my days, with your beautiful voices. I can't help it but stood there smiling and laughing when I have to be like a Tigress at times. But... don't expect a lenient Lia all the time. I'm turning bad real soon hahaha. I'm sure there were many takeaways during the session and it's time to improve and grow juniors!:)

I went to Church for baking session after Choir. Baked Ginger bread man cookie for the first time in my life. Zomg!! I miss baking so so muchh!!!! I was amazed by the kitchen.... what a complete set with air-con in it. Made some new friends also and I was brought to the Youth parish, touring around there with Sylvester saying that we can use the space there anytime we want so long we notify him. Pool, BBQ pit, movie area, study area... and many more facilities we get to enjoy for free. Even if I invite non-Catholic friends, that's also OKAY, he said so. Made some cookies for some special people and so here are some pictures taken during the baking session :D

Dumbdumb, come back to Singapore safely tomorrow. Can't wait to see how smart have you grown in Shanghai :P
