Outward Bound is remembered for life.

If people ask, "How was OBS Camp?"I'd to think of many words to describe, no single word can describe how much valuable experiences I've gotten from this Camp. Then my answer would be memorable.
I'll just post briefly what happened in the Camp day by day :) The journal I'd kept from this OBS is really a Ratatouille for a life's recipe, like Ben said.
Day1: Got to know tht my watch's name is Shackleton :) and the instructor was Ben Koh :) Stephen and I were Food I/C. Dont know what struck me to volunteer as one :p Very tedious and troublesome at first to sort out the food ration for all the meals within the 5days :/ There was a short while Kayaking activity, just to teach us how to Kayak in the right way basically. Then, it was my first time sleeping in a tent, in a so called Forest. Plusplus, the 6girls in my watch shared the same watch :D Now I know how to pitch tent alrdy :)
Day2: We were taught on how to belay and did a quite short rock wall climbing. After that was Flying Fox. We all took turns to be in charge of different duties in order for each of us to 'fly' :) When it was my turn, I had no fear at all. Then I told Ben, 'I think I know why I'm not afraid at all, bcos all looks green to me from here'. In another words, I can't really see without my spec on wkwkwk! :D Good excuse :) Then we took off for expeditions in the night. Again, pitch tent in jungle and cooked maggie mee for dinner. Starting from 2nd Day onwards, all sort of flying insects were like attacking me, especially mosquitoes T.T I dread them, seriously. Also learnt how to pee and poo in the forest haha lol C:
Day 3: Land Expedition. Only one word could describe it, shagged. Trekking around Pulau Ubin with heavy backpack close to 20kg I guess. With the can food in the bag, they just add to the load :/ After that my back was aching very badly, till now. We finished the expedition in about 8h and I did try to be one of navigator, reading map and compass. Then we reached the Mamam Beach where there were 3other watches. That included Tenzing, Nila Utama and Hillary. Then we discussed about day 4's Sea Expedition. I was the Starboard with Stephen again, haha I took on YY's challenge :P Had to do night patrol for an hour and I ended up chatting with Irfan by the sea lol haha. So peaceful to see the changing of tides, the waves hitting wooden and metal stilts and also, aeroplanes boomzing in the sky lol.
Day4: Sea Expedition. Kayaked about 5h in total, with all the challenges in between. The weather was ubberly good, drizzling all the way :) Though it wasnt easy to keep the kayaks in the fleet, the Sea Ex leaders did our best :) And of course, all the cheering and jeering were part of this expedition, just too awesome! Even singing session with Farid, the broken radio man haha. Back to Campsite 2 and did massive clean-up, and finally a proper bathing time!
Day 5: Mostly was packing stuff and putting all equipments back into store room. Then did the Jetty Jump also, luckily there was no Jellyfish around at tht moment . :)
I'm too sleepy to blog much now T.T This is really very brief huamm. But is okay, all the memories from this OBS Camp are still fresh in my mind. As the saying: There's something about OBS that stays with you for life :)
Enjoy glancing through the photos :)
My Dear Shackleton: Fishball. Amanda. Tami. Fara. Nadiah. Nurianni. Nazrul (Myanmar). Dinosaur. Hadi. Raihanah. Farid (broken radio). Stephen. Sam. Syafiq. Jeffrey. Lia and Ben. Each of them added on to my recipe in their special own ways. :) <3
After that, bought souveniers at Reception Centre and Swiss was the last sch going back home. Lunched in Sengkang Mall first before going back home. During the journey home, smth happened in the MRT, damn hilarious! :D Wink to Lynette! OH, WE WERE UBIN KIDS WHO JUST GOT BACK IN TOWN! So pardon us for the unglamness :)
